Schweizer Konfect by André Bollier is published in Switzerland. This book has descriptions and recipes for traditional Swiss treats to help fund the immigration of the Bollier family to the United States!
André and his wife Elsbeth open the first André's shop in Kansas City at 5008 Main Street, next door to the current location.
A second location downtown at 10th and Grand opens.
The main shop moves a few doors south into 5018 Main Street, site of our current parking lot entrance.
The business continues to grow, adding on to the KC site. While the Downtown KC shop is now closed, new locations will soon be opening in Denver, Houston, St. Louis, & Menlo Park, CA.

Kansas City Art Institute professor Jason Pollen creates "Banquet for André", which still hangs in our Tea Room. Look closely and you'll find a box of André's Chocolates, Tea Cookies, Linzer Torte, Pastries and Swiss scherenschnitte placemat!
The signature arched entry is added, along with an expanded chocolate room downstairs.
