Chocolate Orange Peels

Our dark chocolate orange peels have become a favorite not only among our selection of chocolates but they have been praised as the best of their kind.

Like any dedicated Swiss (or environmentally-conscious purist), we strive to limit any and all waste. So, after we make fresh-squeezed orange juice for our Tea Room & Café, we use the peels to create this luxurious confection! They are candied in-house to ensure a maximum burst of flavor.

What's the process? The peels are first immersed in salt water to help soften their form, then candied in simple syrup for several days in a low-temperature oven (to preserve the peel and add sweetness), and are then covered three times in our signature Swiss dark chocolate.
